This notice describes how BugBaar (the "Data Fiduciary") processes the personal data of its learners (the "Data Principals") in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

Scheduled Languages Support: Pursuant to Section 5(3) of the DPDP Act, this notice is available in English. You can request a translation of this notice in any of the 22 scheduled official Indian languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution by emailing us at bugbaar@gmail.com.
1What Data We Collect & Process (Notice of Processing)
We only collect and process personal data that you explicitly provide to us to facilitate your learning and cohort experience. This includes:
- Identity Data: Full Name, Google Profile Avatar URL (if signing in via Google).
- Contact Data: Email Address, Mobile Phone Number.
- Transaction Data: Payment details (processed securely via Razorpay), transaction ID, and cohort registration status.
- Academic Progress Data: Course completion rates, assignment submissions, and peer community workspace participation.
2Purpose of Data Processing (Purpose Limitation)
Under the DPDP Act, your data is processed solely for specified, lawful purposes related to our educational offerings:
- Creating and managing your student account and active profile.
- Verifying enrollment status and delivering cohort materials, discussion channels, and certification.
- Processing transactions and preventing payment fraud (lawful basis: contract performance).
- Communicating critical updates, course revisions, and responding to support queries.
3Consent & Right to Withdraw Consent
By logging in or completing your profile, you provide your explicit consent for processing. Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
How to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent to data processing by contacting our Grievance Officer.
Note on Withdrawal: If you withdraw your consent, we will cease processing your personal data. Consequently, your active student account will be closed, your cohort progress deleted, and access to the educational materials revoked, as we cannot deliver services without processing essential personal details.
4Your Rights as a Data Principal
Under Sections 11, 12, 13, and 14 of the DPDP Act, you possess the following statutory rights:
- Right to Summary Information: Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and the processing activities performed.
- Right to Correction & Completion: Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete details. You can do this within the onboarding/profile page or by contacting support.
- Right to Erasure (Deletion): Request the erasure of your personal data when the purpose of collection is completed or when you withdraw consent.
- Right to Nominate: Nominate any other individual to exercise your data principal rights in the event of your death or physical/mental incapacity.
5Data of Children & Minors
We take child data protection seriously. In compliance with Section 9 of the DPDP Act:
- Individuals under the age of 18 (minors) must obtain explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian before registering on our platform.
- We do not engage in targeted advertising, profiling, or tracking behaviors of minors on our website.

In compliance with the DPDP Act, if your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction within 30 days, you have the right to file a formal complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI).
